1. What we collect

• Account information — your name, email address, and password when you create a membership account.
• Billing details — payments are handled by our payment processor. We never store your card numbers on our servers.
• Form submissions — the name, email, phone number, and message you send through our contact form, free-lesson signup, or book launch list.
• Usage data — pages you visit, courses you view, and basic device and browser information.
• Cookies — small files that keep you logged in and, with your consent, help us understand how the site is used (see section 4).

2. How we use it

We use your information to:

• Deliver your courses and manage your membership.
• Send you the free lesson and book launch-list emails you asked for.
• Respond to your inquiries, including questions about corporate team programs.
• Improve our lessons, site, and overall product.
• Keep the service secure and prevent abuse.

3. Email

We send two kinds of email: transactional messages about your account or purchases, and the emails you signed up for — like the free lesson series or book launch updates. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and opting out never affects the transactional messages you need to use the service.

4. Cookies

Essential cookies keep you logged in and make your session work — the site can't function without them. Analytics cookies run only with your consent, which you give (or decline) through the cookie banner. You can change your choice anytime by clearing this site's data in your browser; the banner will ask again on your next visit.

5. Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with the service providers who help us run Modern Manners — payment processing, email delivery, hosting, and analytics — each under a contract that limits how they may use it. We may also disclose information when the law requires it.

6. Data retention

We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. If you'd like it deleted, just ask — email us at support@modernmanners.us and we'll remove it, unless we're required to keep certain records (for example, for tax or accounting purposes).

7. Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct, delete, or export the personal information we hold about you. Florida residents and residents of other US states with privacy laws have these rights as provided by their applicable state law. If you're visiting from the EU or UK, you have the rights set out in the GDPR — including the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details in section 11.

8. Children

Our services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. Teen lessons included in a Family plan are intended for use under parental supervision, through the parent's account.

9. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your information. That said, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security — but we work to keep your data safe.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll change the "Last updated" date at the top of this page, and for significant changes we'll let you know by email or with a notice on the site.
